We all go through pain in life—it’s part of the human experience, and there’s a close connection between pain and passion. Ironically, the things that hurt us the most are usually the things we love the most.
Pain isn’t just a burden, it’s also a messenger, showing us our deepest needs and desires. For example, someone struggling with depression might be longing for wholeness. Someone with social anxiety might be yearning to connect with others. Pain tells us where we should prioritize—purpose and pain are two sides of the same coin.
